Release tension. Restore movement. Feel more like yourself.
From everyday aches and muscular tension to sports recovery and injury management, remedial massage is tailored to what your body needs. At Glow Health Co, we combine targeted hands-on techniques with an individualised approach to help ease tension, support movement and keep you doing the things you love.
MORE THAN JUST A MASSAGE
Remedial massage is a targeted form of hands-on therapy designed around you, your body and the reason you’ve come to see us.
Whether you’re dealing with persistent muscular tension, recovering from an injury, feeling the effects of training or simply noticing that your body isn’t moving as freely as it normally does, your treatment begins with understanding what’s going on.
At Glow Health Co, we take the time to discuss your concerns, assess the areas that may be contributing to how you feel and tailor each treatment accordingly.
Rather than following a one-size-fits-all routine, your massage is focused on the areas and techniques most appropriate for your individual needs.
How Does Laser Therapy Work?
Our bodies use light in a number of biological processes.
During Low-Level Laser Therapy, specific wavelengths of light are directed into the targeted tissue. This process, known as photo-biomodulation, influences cellular activity and may help support the body’s natural repair
and recovery processes.
Depending on the condition being treated and your individual needs, laser therapy may be used with the aim of:
Supporting tissue repair
and recovery.
Promoting circulation within the treated area.
Helping manage pain.
Supporting recovery
from musculoskeletal injuries.
Supporting the body’s inflammatory
response.
Complementing rehabilitation and other forms of care.
Conditions we commonly treat.
Low-Level Laser Therapy may be used as part of the management of a range of acute and ongoing musculoskeletal conditions.
Following an assessment, your practitioner will determine whether laser therapy may be appropriate for your individual presentation.
Areas we commonly treat include:
Muscle strains and soft-tissue injuries
Tendon-related conditions
Ligament injuries and sprains
Joint and muscular pain
Neck and back pain
Sports and training-related injuries
Overuse and repetitive strain concerns
Plantar fasciitis
Tennis and golfer’s elbow
Shoulder conditions
Knee and ankle concerns
Post-injury rehabilitation and recovery
Laser therapy may also be incorporated into a broader treatment or rehabilitation plan where clinically appropriate.
What does treatment feel like?
One of the benefits of Low-Level Laser Therapy is that treatment is non-invasive and generally comfortable.
The laser is applied directly over or close to the area being treated for a specific period of time. Most people feel little to no sensation during treatment, although the experience can vary depending on the equipment and treatment area.
There are no needles, incisions or manipulation involved in the laser treatment itself, and appointments can often be easily incorporated into your existing care plan.
Your practitioner will explain the treatment before beginning and answer any questions you may have.
More Than a Standalone Treatment.
At Glow Health Co, we look at recovery as a whole rather than focusing only on one area or one treatment method.
Low-Level Laser Therapy may be used as a standalone treatment, or where appropriate, incorporated alongside:
Chiropractic care
Sports chiropractic
Soft-tissue treatment
Rehabilitation exercises
Mobility and strengthening programs
Return-to-sport planning
Combining different approaches allows us to tailor care to your individual condition, stage of recovery and goals.
A Different Kind of Support for Recovery
Sometimes your body needs a little extra support to move forward.
Whether you’re recovering from an injury, managing an ongoing musculoskeletal concern or looking for an additional option to complement your existing care, Low-Level Laser Therapy may form part of a personalised approach to helping you recover, move and get back to doing what matters to you.
Supporting recovery. Restoring movement. Getting you back to what you love.
